Insomniac: “We won’t be making any more Resistances”

According to VG24/7, it seems the Resistance franchise has come to a close. Nihilistic Software is currently working on the Playstation Vita spin-off “Resistance: Burning Skies”, but as far as Insomniac are concerned, last year’s Resistance 3 concluded the story of the Chimera invasion.
It’s quite sad really, I recently had the time to sit down and play through Resistance 3 and, while the gameplay was still as solid as ever, I didn’t feel to me that the story was as strong as it could have been for a final installment. But maybe I’ll save that rant for another time
In the meantime, Insomniac are currently hard at work on their multiplatform title Overstrike, the 4-player co-op shooter unveiled at E3 last year.
