On the fence about which platform you should be buying Skyrim on? We’ve got you covered. Bethesda today announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for the upcoming RPG. The good news? It’s pretty reasonable for a modern gaming PC, especially when you compare it to the recently released mammoth that goes by the name of Battlefield 3.

Minimum requirements:

Operating System: Win XP/7/Vista (32 or 64 bit)
CPU: Dual Core 2GB
Memory: 2GB RAM
Video Card: DirectX9c video card w/ 512MB RAM

Recommended requirements:

Operating System: Win XP/7
CPU: Quad-Core Intel/AMD CPU
Memory: 4GB RAM, 6GB Hard Drive Space
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
Video Card: DirectX9 video card with 1GB memory. GTX 260/Radeon 4890 or higher

Let’s be honest, a game as good as this, you’re gonna want the visuals to look nothing short of fantastic. If you can’t come close to the recommended specs, you could always opt for the console version. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
