While many people are looking to get trigger happy in March with the release of Max Payne 3, horror fans might want to consider saving their money for the return/remaster/reimagining of the Silent Hill series. Konami has slapped an official release date on three Silent Hill titles, all of which will be out in the same month!
The Silent Hill HD Collection (now with the original Voice Actors…thank God) will be released on March 6th for PS3 and Xbox 360, it contains improved versions of the two most acclaimed games in the series, Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. Definitely worth checking out if you’re new to the series or you just want to take a trip back to your younger years.
Next on the agenda is the the latest chapter in the series, Silent Hill: Downpour releases on March 13th for PS3 and Xbox 360 featuring an all new protagonist and an aim to return the franchise to its former horrifying glory following the disappointing Silent Hill: Homecoming.
Last (and sorta least) is the spin-off title Silent Hill: Book of Memories coming to Playstation Vita on March 27th, featuring an entirely new gameplay direction in the series including character customisation and multiplayer, we’ll let you be the judge.
